LUCENT (2026)
Light & time are explored in this series of paintings based on moments of sunlight observed in Hall's close surroundings.
The works consist of a strong contrast, both in material and content. The time consuming, traditional way of working with layers of oilpaint contrasts sharply with the uncontrolable use of beeswax and rough wood carvings.
Volatile moments of sunlight are captured on canvas in a long-spun process.
